Twisted Pages next exhibition piece will go on display amongst other artists at Southport Waterfront Arts Project in Merseyside on Sunday 15th July 2012 2-5pm. As the theme of this exhibition is 'open' Twisted Pages has taken this chance to experiment with our work and go down a completely new creative channel.
We have again worked with paper but instead of our usual quilling technique that we have used within our previous work, we wanted to try our hands at a little origami! We decided that we would create a piece that was fun and used the mini theme of 'summer' loosely bringing together the ideas of summer flowers and travel and combining them with crisp bright colour.
Here is a little preview of our work so far, we would love to hear your feedback!. Also don't forget to drop into the Waterfront Gallery, in Southport, Merseyside PR9 0DZ open daily 12 - 4 this exhibition promises to be a must see!
After recently completing and displaying our Journey Through Depression' Installation at the Waterfront Art Gallery in Southport twisted pages has begun work on our next chapter. With the theme of the next exhibition at the Waterfront being 'open' we have taken the opportunity to experiment a little with our work and take a different approach to our usual style. This theme has also given us the chance to work on some other projects.
Here are some sample of the experimental stages that we are working on at the present.
The opening of the Waterfront Art Projects latest exhibition in Southport, Merseyside went really well. The first public view was on Saturday the 26th of May and what a lovely sunny day it was. The great hot British sunshine brought then crowds to the good old sunny, seaside town of Southport. Which meant plenty of new visitors for the Waterfront Gallery and the new exhibition 'Imagine If'.
This exhibition takes a sensitive look at living with life limiting conditions. Here are a few images of the opening event.
