Being inspired by the show we decided we would do a bit of gardening the Twisted Pages way and created 'The Secret Summer Garden'. A wonderfully special, wild garden complete with wildlife also handmade from paper.

Southport Flower Show Project
Twisted Pages are involved in another project organised by the Waterfront Gallery. The artists currently working at the gallery will be taking part in a large scale installation piece that will be featuring alongside all the lovely floral displays at Southport Flower Show 2012.
Each artist will be designing and making one or more unique pieces of art that will all be part of a large art installation. We are in the first stages of making our first piece. It will all make sense a little later on!

Window Display
Twisted Pages have been asked to create a window display for a dress shop in Southport, Merseyside. We are working around the clients rough theme of Autumn. She has asked for a simply styled display that will be crisp and elegant. We are working at the moment using leaves as the base of the design and continuing from here.
As the displays in the shop will be constantly changing we have decided along with the owner of this stylish shop to create a piece that will work well with all her displays as and when she changes them.
We have decided to use white as our base colour, this will of course be key to keeping the piece crisp, elegant and timeless. As our piece should be ready for the beginning of Autumn, we have chosen to incorporate a little bit of copper into the display to give it a rich and warm edge.
Here are a few of our samples to take a look at

The Dress
Twisted Pages are excited to announce our fourth exhibition at the Waterfront Gallery will be open from Sunday 15th of July. The piece is influenced by Summer, the road maps for traveling and holidays and the flowers for bloom. The dress itself has a very 'summery' style to the design with the open back and loose skirt.
We continue to push the boundaries of paper manipulation within our work. In this piece we treated the paper as fabric and used new techniques, particularly paper folding and added an origami touch also.
It has long been our intention to create a paper dress and from the feedback we have already received we have a feeling this wont be our last!
