Opening of The Conflict Exhibition

Twisted Pages launched a new installation piece today, in the 'Conflict' exhibition at The Waterfront Gallery in Southport. This piece titled 'Awoken From a Dream'  has been created to depict the opposing forces and clashing changes within the delicate balance of nature. 

Nature has been a constant inspiration throughout our collaboration work and again the theme of delicacy is explored within this three-dimensional illustration. The fragile and manipulative qualities of the paper has assisted us in emphasising the message within poem. That we as people have little control over the weather and will always be exposed to natures beautiful yet unpredictable character

This thought provoking exhibition covered a wide variety of themes under the title of conflict and drew in a large number of visitors. The feedback that we received from many people was brilliant and much appreciated.

Awoken From a Dream

Twisted Pages has been very busy lately, as you may be able to tell from the lack of blogging recently! We have been rolling our fingers off to finish the 'Conflict' exhibition piece for the Waterfront Gallery in Southport, Merseyside. The large scale installation piece to illustrate the poem 'Awoken From A Dream' was finished and put up in the gallery, with help from a few people, who we would like to thank. 

Our mixed media piece will be on display amongst other artists work. This exhibition will showcase sculpture, paintings, installations and photography and will open for the first viewing on Saturday the 31st of March 2012, 2pm to 5pm. At the Waterfront Gallery next to the Remada Hotel, The Promenade, Southport. All welcome, this exhibition is free.

Tent London - Design a Feature

Theses are two of the Twisted Pages finished visuals for Tent London's 'Design a Feature' competition. Our intended installation is of a rainbow tunnel made completely from the coloured butterflies featured in our Rainbow Collection, that the visitors to the design show can walk through! Designed with fun in mind this installation could be enjoyed by members of the public of all ages. 

Final ten designers announced in May and the winning four that get to feature their design for free in the show are announced in June. Wish us luck!

Rainbow Collection

Well that's one down and just six more to go! A little taster of the colours that will be used in Twisted Pages next project. These 'paper twists' are ready to make the seven sample size butterflies that will make up the Rainbow collection for our entry into Tent London's - 'Design a Featuer Competition' 2012. 

New Work

Twisted Pages next piece of art work will explore the theme of colour. This red butterfly is the first in another paper manipulation project that will include butterflies in every colour of the rainbow. A range that will be bright, bold and beautiful!

Paper Quilling

All of Twisted Pages handcrafted paper butterflies are quilled individually to make sure each one is unique. Available in a range of sizes and colours chosen by you, they are great for decorating the home and adding to flower arrangements and table decorations. The Birds that Danced Upon a Breeze
